The Diamond Decoder
Everything a diamond is, and the one thing that's different.
Four minutes. No lecture.
01 · What actually changes
Two definitions, one difference.
Both panels are the laboratory's own language, unedited.
Natural diamond
Formed within the earth. Identified as natural by a laboratory.
Laboratory-grown
Grown through a technological process. Identified as laboratory-grown by a laboratory.

That's the whole difference. We'll say so on every certificate, every time.
02 · Diamond or not?
Two of these are diamonds. Which?
Tap two ◇
The first two. Lab-grown diamonds are diamonds — same carbon, same structure. Moissanite and cubic zirconia are simulants: different material, and a tester will say so.

Six things on the page that matter.
04 · The 4Cs, ranked honestly
Ranked by what it does for the piece in your hand, not by what sells.
- 01 Cut Spend here. It decides everything.
- 02 Colour Matters, up to a point.
- 03 Clarity You can save money here and nobody will know.
- 04 Carat The one everyone starts with. Start with cut instead.

Ask us anything ↗Will it hold its value?
Diamonds, mined or lab-grown, aren't bought back at what you paid, by anyone. What we offer instead is lifetime exchange*: on any gold piece, we credit 100% of the gold's current value and 90% of the diamond's towards something new. We'd still rather you chose a piece for how often you'll wear it.
Will anyone be able to tell?
No. A jeweller would need a specialised machine, and even then they're identifying origin, not quality. What people will notice is the cut, which is why we spend there.
What does the SGL report actually prove?
That an independent lab has graded your stone: its carat, colour, clarity and cut, and that it was grown in a lab. The report number is laser-inscribed — on the girdle of an individually certified stone, or on the shank or the piece where the report covers the finished piece — so the paper and the jewellery can always be matched.
So the only question left is how often you'll wear it.
