Whether you have a ring at hand or are measuring from scratch, it only takes a minute. Choose the method that works best for you.

Using a Strip of Paper

If you don't have a ring

Wrap a strip of paper around your fingerUse a thin strip of paper, about 5mm wide. Wrap it snugly around the finger you'll wear the ring on.

Mark where the paper meetsUse a pen to mark the point where the paper overlaps. This is your finger's circumference.

Measure the length in mmLay the paper flat against a ruler and measure from the edge to your mark in millimetres. Then find your size in the chart below.

Using an Existing Ring

If you already have a ring that fits

Pick a ring that fits comfortablyChoose a ring that fits well on the finger you plan to wear your new ring on.

Place it flat on a rulerLay the ring on a flat surface next to a ruler, or place it directly on top of the ruler.

Measure the inner diameterMeasure across the inside of the ring from one inner edge to the other, in millimetres. Match it to the chart below.

Fingers are slightly larger later in the day. Measuring in the morning can give you a size that feels tight by evening.

Measure the correct finger

Ring sizes can vary between your fingers and even between hands. Always measure the exact finger the ring will be worn on.

Consider the ring width

Wider bands tend to fit more snugly. If you're ordering a wide band, consider sizing up by half a size.

Measure twice, order once

Take your measurement two or three times to be sure. If you're between sizes, round up.
